i use 600 wet/dry with WD40 and go over the lifter body and the face with sand paper so no Hi spots they need to turn FREEEEE in the bores . sometimes the face is abit to rough do not try the change the face. lay the sand paper on some thing thats flat and sand them in a small circle wash and blow dry. more then one time... then add molly or cam lube only to the lifter face not the lifter body... use oil on the body or the lifter bores there you have all my tricks well almostLast edited by pat mccarthy; 08-15-2007 at 09:07 PM.

yep ..isky .. howards .comp. there was a time that jonhson and crower ground small flats on the side of there lifters not that hot of a deal ? but with a hyd lifter thats about all you can do . i do not know if they still sell/make?them . alot of the companys do not make there own ? eaton at one time made many of the lifters used by many cam companys ?i been told a EDM soild lifter from howards i have soild over 10 set on 600 lift cams . all work great. isky make good stuff but them EDM lifters may be coming from the same company ?? this low dollar stuff i do not think they do much with but if we are talking roller lifter that is not true and the crowers and isky are very good and isky valve springs are some of the bestLast edited by pat mccarthy; 08-15-2007 at 11:01 PM.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
