I'm a newbie and a lightweight. With that said, is it possible your mixing of the rockers is the cause? Hydraulic lifters are very sensitive, dirt or wear will cause them not to pump up and therefore click. How clean is the engine and how many miles on the lifters? Just a guess.

Assuming you did adjust valves like they should be done... I would just say it's the cheap crimped rocker nuts loosening up. You probably took them on and off a couple times too many and wore them out.

Hmmmm. New valve springs.... What is the spring pressure on them????? Could be you are pulling the studs loose. Lay a straight edge on the tops of the rocker arm studs, they should all be even.... As Denny said, probably just the nuts are worn out, but it wouldn't hurt to check the studs when the covers are off....

Might also want to check the cam lift at the lifter with a dial indicator....This new oil and lack of additives doesn't seem to be conducive to long life on flat tappet cam and lifters....... at 10,000 miles, it shouldn't be happening but while you have the covers off, it sure wouldn't take long to check it.
