CR Example
Ran across this engine example at smokemup.com
The guy bought a short block with the specs in the table below.
Static compression looks is low at 8.71:1. The story is he entered .0025 rather than .025 for the deck height and miscalculated static CR.
I entered an arbitrary cam angle closing of 30 degrees ABDC and the result I believe is a fair pump gas dynamic CR.
Assuming the numbers are correct (ya'll let me know if they aren't), what's the next step in finding a cam that will run in this motor or is it a lost case?Last edited by SBC; 04-12-2007 at 08:36 PM.
There is no limit to what a man can do . . . if he doesn't mind who gets the credit. (Ronald Reagan)
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
