General Opinion: Swap a 350 for a 383 or 396?

Thanks tommycat and halford, that is good advice. I would need to buy a new tranny if I wanted to but a rat under the hood, so that would be extra cash right there, and with the extra hp you obviously need bigger brakes. My dads best advice is to get 11" drums to replace the 9"ers and to get an OD tranny, which we might have at the garage, way before even thinking about putting in a big block. Im going to look into the 4 link system and a better set of sneakers because he definetly had way less power then me....only if my dead weight girlfriend wasnt in the front seat i might of had a chance! Do not forget to put the same amount of attention in safety, like brakes and seat belts.
