Well I have gotten the message from my mentors here, NEVER take anything for granted as far as measurements. To get the squish right and check the piston to valve clearance, the only way I can rationalize it, from all I've read, is to assemble and then check the compressed clay for clearance info."oohh...thats gonna leave a mark!"
