hey everybody, im building a 355 for my 72 monte carlo, and i had some questions. im trying to decide what heads to get. ive pretty much decided on aluminum heads and i was wondering what people have heard about certain ones. ive heard some good things from pro engine builder about the Jegs 197 heads, but after googling ive found some people saying that the machine work isnt very good out of the box. ive also been looking at the dart pro1's. any feedback on these or any other great heads in the same price range would be great. if you can find better for less money thats even better
im not sure exactly what parts i have already, im going to my grandpas machine shop tomorrow to take apart the rest of my bottom end and see what i have to work with, as well as see all the parts he already has for me. im pretty sure he has some nice flat top pistons for me, and i think he has a racing cam from my cousins dirt track car. ( he raced it for one race and totalled the car...but the engine was a-ok ) thanks for your time and help
