    I post this all the time......A good book on engines and budget horse power is David Vizzards book ,how to build max performance on a budget.It has 10 motor combos in the back and goes over how to make many improvements to a basically stock motor.
    Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

    check your local motor supply, these guys have a 400 with forged pistons for $725 plus 250 core charge.
