I have used Crane part number 113821 with very good results.
Specs. are .458/.473 duration at .050 is 226/234 with 114 l/s.

thanks guys, what do you think if i tried a 350 over .40 (385) with the blower instead of the 406 or just a 383 or a 355 what do u think will be best 2 opperate with

If you use the 350 block you would have a much better chance of not blowing head gaskets.
Look at a 350 and then look at a 400 block look at the area between the cylinders and then think of the boost you are wanting to add.

yeah i see what you mean ima stick with the 350 and keep my fingers crossed

That poor little 144 will have a hellava time on a 400 and take everything it got for a 383. I have a 177 on a stroker 420 and it's way too small. I just bought a Procharger blow-through kit. It packs enough punch and I guess I'll see just what my 509 block can hold.

hey i have a question, every tech i talk 2 says you shouldnt put the 144 on smaller motors such as 327,305,283but that i should use it on the bigger stroke motors such as the 350,400 but if you are suposed to do that how come every 1 on the internet keep sayin that the blower is 2 small. WHAT IS THE MOTOR IAM TOO USE IT ON THEN?????? ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I use a 6-71 on the 350,383's and on some of the 454's.
If it is a hot 454 or a 496 I would run a 8-71.

the size of blower would have to do with you cr and what boost you want big blower will run cooler but take more power to run and a smaller well sealed blower with a bit more cr and less boost is a better way to go i think

Like Pat said a big blower will run cooler the reason being is you don't have to "spin it" so fast to do the same job as the smaller unit.
For every revolution a 6-71 blower will move 411 cubic inches of air.
An 8-71 will move 435 cubic inches of air.
The 8-71 is a little over 1 inch longer than the 6-71.

671 is 420 cid?

I have always gone by 6-71,8-71,10-71 etc.

well i see this as how good one is seal like a b.m or BDS if not and a old loose GMC then size would not help ?just eat up power ???just more mass??
