Which heads??
I currently have a '71 Camaro with a 4-bolt 350, rebuilt 30 over, forged srp pistons,re-done crank, pink rods, Performer RPM hyd. cam and intake, roller rockers, 670 street avenger carb, and now has Chevy turbo/202 fulie/camel hump, angle plug heads. It is about 10:1 compression. Nice quick street cruiser. I am thinking of different heads, I know most of you will probablly say go with the Performer RPM heads to match the intake/cam, but would I benifit with other heads with better specs/flow rates??? What would the Victor Jr's do?? How about other brands like afr or dart??? What kind of hp/torque difference should I expect to see changing the heads?? is it worth it?? It also has a 350 auto w/shift kit and 4.11 posi. Any ideas??? also has 1 3/4 longtube headers with a 2 1/2 exhaust w/h-pipe.
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
