BTW, in my judgement, every post on this thread has been pertinent to a sbc build, especially the posts that dealt with the differences between a 350 journal and a 400 as well as the post that dealt with “30 year old has been 400 cranks” which have been turned to fit a 350 journal and then that these can be used in a 400 again, wow. And as if I ever would. Why would anyone use a fatigued crank which probably needs another machining job before one can use it and all this at a cost of $150.00 when one can buy a stronger brand new one for around $200 not to mention the cost of bearing spacers!!!!???
The net is a breeding ground for misunderstanding and the sooner the poster learns to add a little salt, the better off everyone will be. Think about it, even when two or three people who all happen to have English as their primary language and these then communicate, how often do we have to ask the speaker to say it again or in different words, explaining what they meant. Rarely when one is in person, do we jump on the listener for misunderstanding but rather in an apologetic manner, the speaker tries to communicate again without being rude. At least that’s what I have witnessed in those who are seasoned men.
Having said that, it would appear that the younger generation has lost that. The moment they see an opportunity to defame someone, to jeer anyone, to mock one etc, they go for the throat, and when push comes to shove, all is in jest supposedly and that is their apology which really translates into being arrogant.
Hey, the weather has really turned around out here. It is 7 C above today and all the snow is gone. To the foreigner this translates into 43 above F. Oh, wait a minute, maybe I am the alien. Wonder what the temperature is then? Oops, I’ve done it now, I’ve changed topics. I was going to delete this part but I had already clicked on “POST”.
