ok guy i jus got my 350 block back from the rebuilder it is .60 over with a nice choppy came in it i want to know if i get my 305 heads worked to the max can i use them on there somebody let me know or if i need to cop some 350 heads from summit

they will choke the engine, also they have small chambers so there hard to keep streetable. standard 350 dish pistions will net 10:1 with them.You don't know what you've got til it's gone

so jus cop some 350 heads with it cuz the motor is set up for 9:5:1 jus need some heads for it

ok i dont have that info right off top of my head but thanks anything else i would need to know cuz i was really lookin at the GM vortec heads for it

chevyboi, I don't know if you're aware of this, but the camshaft must be matched to the static compression ratio. Find out all the numbers on the cam including the intake closing point at 0.050" tappet lift, the numbers on the pistons (so we can determine piston crown volume) and the deck height the motor was assembled at (how far each piston in down in the bore at top dead center) and get back to us. My best guess is that you have so much cam in the motor that it won't have any bottom end.Last edited by techinspector1; 10-03-2006 at 10:13 PM.

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
