thanks guys for all the suggestions. the engine is the heart of a 65 malibu. how much do those weigh? the block is numbers matching, so i don't think i wanna bore it. ultimate plan is to build a 327 or 350, but for now im going for the budget 283.

my 65 galaxie weighs around 3500-3600lbs so im guessing the impala will eb around the same weight, maybe a little heavier
