How much horsepower?
How much horsepower do you think a 350 out of a 82 chevrolet cube van has stock?

Are you sure? You would think that they would have an rv cam in them to give them a little more horsepower and low end torque. If I knew anything I'd be dangerous.

145-165 at the wheels was the range for those years. It didn't matter whether it was in a car or truck. The carb was the only difference. A 1 or 2 barrel got you 145 and a 4 barrel got you 165. It was like this from '72-'86 or so. Afterwards, the horsepower numbers started to improve a little, 170-190.

Just trying to figure out about the base horsepower + the added hooker supercomp headers, weiland xcelerator, holley 600 vac secondary. I think the motor still has the stock cam and heads but I may be wrong I haven't checked the casting #'s yet.If I knew anything I'd be dangerous.

GM still makes the 350 from that era. They claim 260 hp at the crank with a 4 barrel and long tube headers. That's probably around 180 at the wheels.

my book says 200 HP. its shows the 454@220 HP. Add most anything you want, to the out side(headers, intake) and pick up another 20 HP.
