my dad has a boat with an inboard/outboard prop, ive been told that boats with props need a lot of torque to get the prop moving. but in the case of a jet boat it revs to its max rpm instantly and you want to build your power for that max rpm. thats why a lot of jet boats run tunnel ram intakes, to get as much top end horsepower as possible. now i know 5000-5500 rpm isnt really that high...thats why im confused on which cam to get...teh cam in my charger is build for 2200-6200 rpm and it pulls hard above 3000 rpm so maybe i should be looking for a cam in that area? even with the 327 worn out it would rev to 2800 rpm with very little throttle.
