run your booster off the manifold vac behind the carb. the pcv will need to be on the equalised port on the carb. i have seen more than one new engine loosing oil. a rich tune will wash the cylinders and cause crankcase pressure and burn the oil at highway speeds. i buy motors like this for nothing. fresh tune, oil and a couple thousand miles the rings clean up and reseat. it's the most common problem with streetrods.

I had the same problem (probably everybody has sometime). But with me it was a cracked head. The previous owner of my engine had cracked one head badly by torqueing it up wrong or dropping it or whatever. In any case it had two cracks, one right in the chamber, causing the water-pressure to be much too high and one along the inside of the head surface, connecting the combustion chamber to the valve gallery. So the burn went right into the crankcase :( . Pumped out oil good and fast :D
If changing the PCV and so on doesn't help, you might check your heads (unless you're sure thery're undamaged).
T-ing off brake lines and PCV is OK. If your engine makes enough vac, then it doesn't matter where you hook up your respective lines, all fulltime vac ports always have the same vacuum.
Hope to have been some help,
Mad

you should not T your pcv valve hose into your brake hose. it will be times you will not have vac. at the booster. put them on sep. hoses.

madmax, heads are sure to be uncracked.... *brand new* and the leak was never bad enough to burn enough oil to smoke or even leave a puddle.... but anyhow, i ran the pcv off of the same port as the booster.. brakes still work great... the cam im running is the VooDoo 60102...
cam spec sheet here
should make penty of vacuum... or atleast iit seems so, the car is a 4-speed stick so no vacuum for the trans, only thing runnin on vacuum is my brakes, the pcv and vacuum advance... but over all with the pcv valve, fresh oil,plugs-n wires, and leaned the carb a slight bit, and lowered the idle speed, the car is running outstanding now... temps havn't broke 180 degrees. *normally runs 200-210 in the middle of winter* so is it possible that proper venting can actually lower temps or was it the carb adjustment?

the pcv valve is sucking vac. all of the time, so if you hook your brake hose into it its cant be as good as it would be by itself. you've never seen a brake hose hooked into a pcv hose from the factory, and there is a reason, its not safe.

lt1s10, yea it was kindov a quick resort, but i will ease ur mind and drill/tap a carb spacer for another vacuum line as soon as the spacer comes in ;)
