Yo all - Need some advice on a new engine - have a new 350/330/crate chev motor - putting it into a '46 Ford 2dr sedan - just a cruiser - which distributor should I use? HEI? Pertronix? also can I use a single line (no return) mech fuel pump with this engine - it will be carburated. And can anyone suggest a dampner? Many thanks:p
For a cruiser motor, stock HEI
Single line ok. Do not exceed 6 psi fuel pressure at the carb inlet.

You can get a new Accell (sp?) HEI for about $120 at most chain parts houses. It will handle a 350 crate just fine. In m y motor I an running a stock points distributor converted to HEI by the Sparkman Dave Ray http://www.davessmallbodyheis.com . Lots of fire. More expensive but, in my humble opinion, better.
