carbs and throttle choke links

need to connect the throttle cable correct I have a chevy 77' 350
manual trans. edelbrock carb . I had it parked an someone stole some parts off. the carb my bro used but gave it back with missing part forgot how to hook up the carb, to buzzed to remember, got sober an forgot what I saw, need some help, the idle is alright I remember getting carb kit, so thats good, cable is loose to pedal (slack) spring might be different, a pin for the choke
is missing I think, when I drive it seems to idle high, push on pedal idle slows down, to much gas for short distance, wondering if I could fabricate a choke thing but need to know what specs for fabrication, or what to look for on carb the missing links, got power steering, don't know the vacuum lines for the carb I have have the book but only for manufacture carb,
