rod bolts raise hell on the crank. i have fix small nicks on cranks i use a fine honing stone and then hit it with some 400 wet dry paper or send it down and get it polished i still do it this way but i use a crank polisher and polish them my self you need to make sure it is low or the crank will eat up the bearing. the dent will raise up the sides of the low spot you need to make sure this is not hi.
