How much power will a 2 bolt block handle?

Being the cautious type as I am, I'm thinking of using a main girdle on my 2 bolt 350. I picked up a CAT with studs real cheap on eBay. Anyone have an opinion on them?

All those diggers with Chevys in the 60's used 2-bolt 327's, with 6-71's and like that, and they stayed together as long as anything else.

Here was an option from David Vizards MaxPerformance SBC's on a budget. Engine option #6 Stock 4 bolt main block an other race goodies on nitrous dual stage, almost 900 H.P. ! I would worry more about the strengh of your rods more than the strengh of your block, when a rod lets go that's whats going to wipe out other engine parts.
