350 Chevy Oil Pressure Ports

To make a long story as short as possible,
the machine shop I used plugged the oil pressure port above the filter. I put a square 1/4" tool in there, but it does not want to back out. I don't want to round out the fitting and I don't want to pull the engine back out. I missed it while putting the engine back together, so a big lesson learned.

I need to find out if there is more then one port in a 350 chevy for a mechanical oil pressure gauge. It seems at this point, if there is not another port, that I may have to get a oil filter relocator, with a pressure port in the housing.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!!!

On the top of the block to the driver's side of the distributor, there should be a small pipe plug.

It was 5/16's square. I applied alot of pressure and it did not move.

OK, the port next to the distributor is open. I saw this in another artical, but thought the height of this port would not have real pressure, or oil flowing throught that point.

That's the port most folks use, and it will give an accurate oil pressure.
