    do those heads have 1.84 intake valves or 1.72........the "416" castings have the 1.84 intakes and 58cc combustion chambers.......they would work fine with that small lift on a 350. I think you are running a way too tall gear for that motor combo......i would put a numerically lower gear ratio in there.....those heads won't be the problem, although, if you want and have the money to do so having them machined for 1.94 intakes will turn them into mini camel humps, but you will then need to upgrade to a more stout camshaft.

    also, thats a very heavy car you are trying to move, so if you are looking to have a hard launch and good midrange..you will need to do some considerable amount of engine work to accomplish this.......I Love small blocks but if you have to move a mountain then stab a big block in there, the more torque the better to move it.....JMO
