Hello there,
Some of you may remeber I asked some things about cams, heads and so on a little while ago for my G20 tyrefryer. I'm looking for a setup that gives lots of big fat low end torque for nice mileage and a smooth idle, I have a 700 Trans and 3.73 gears, but will be running 3.00 soon. Now I got an offer for this as a package, all used but in good condition:

GM 492 heads with 2.02/1.94 valves, screw in studs and guide plates
XR 258 HR Comp Cams hydraulic Roller cam with the following specs: duration 206 In/ 212 Ex, LSA 110°, valve lift .480 In/ .487 Ex.
with hyd roller lifters, full roller rockers, and other misc parts like Edelbrock Alum timing cover, cam button, pushrods, springs to fit the cam, timing set

Price is 1100 bucks including freight. Selling reason is too little top end power, which I'm not concerned about. Is that OK and will it deliver torque low down and good mileage? Is a hydraulic roller cam overkill for a street engine?
THX, Max
