Rockers Not Fitting Right
I bought some Proform Roller Rockers to put on some stock SBC heads. After torqueing the heads down, I put my new pushrods in, backed the locks out of the rockers and placed thim on the studs. I have one that looks like it would be in a bind if I tighten them down. In other words, the ball is not going in the cup of the rocker. A friend says to drill out the guides, but I say this should all work, stock being stock.
They are 1.5 ratio, 993 heads, Edelbrock
lift @ 420I/442E. I contacted Edelbrock's tech support before I chose the camshaft and they said it would be fine. The pushrod lengths are also standard, as I compaired them with my old ones. The heads were taken to a machine shop for a valve job and springs were checked.
Any help would be much appreciated!
