Ok recently the starter on my 383 went out, so i removed it and went down to Napa and got the replacement but now when i turn the key it just makes a clicking noise and after determining that it was not the battery im not sure of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated
starters from napa and such, are rebuilt and not new, so you might have gotten 1 that dosen't work cause what failed wasn't fixed, it happens with starters, alternators too.
I bought the one that has all new internal parts but a refurbished case
If the battery is fuuly charged, I'd next look at the cable connections and make sure they are tight, clean and not worn or frayed.
Make sure if your ground cable runs to the block it must have a good,clean connection.
