383 stroker motor

Hey, Im building a 383 stroker motor the bottom end is keith black silvolite pistons 60 over and .100 domes, h beam rods with a cast crank. The top end i just bought a set of 049 bowtie aluminum heads with ferrea 2.08 1.60 valves and roller springs im looking for a good cam that i could run down the strip with, i was looking at getting a bowtie intake with the .200 raised runners, and i have a 780 dp holley with a 150 shot. The trans is a built th350 with a 3500 stall and i want to put a 4.56 gear in i already have the posi unit. This is all going to be in a 78' nova im just looking for some pointers on the cam.. solid? hyd? roller... and what should i run for a stall.. i have the 3500 but should i run a bigger on.. it would b nice to drive on the street.. well any input would be appreciated.. thanks Justin

With zero deck and a 0.039" gasket, you'll be at 12.05:1 compression ratio. You'll want to call your favorite cam grinder for a recommendation, but here are a couple just to show you the ballpark you're in....

In my opinion, you're way beyond using a hydraulic cam and you're gonna need more converter.

H- beam rods and a cast crank?Why?The rods are way overkill to run on a cast crank.I don't think I would run 150 shot of N20 on these pistons unless you like to gamble.

The heads are a 55cc chamber head and with the 100cc dome being an aluminum head they should be alright on 110 octane right?:toocool:

I would like to get a steel crank and some forged pistons but i just aint got the money now.. im a gambler but i dont know if the juice is worth the squeeze:HMMM:

i agree with erik 150 shot with those pistons might blow em apart
