The timing is too short on either the 1101 or the 1102 to run either of them with 10.5:1 c.r., the motor will rattle like a can of rocks.
He's gonna need a cam of at least 230 degrees @ 0.050" and a cam like that won't work with a stock converter.
Son, you're gonna have to lower the c.r. to do what you want to do.
Oh and by the way, here's something that's a bunch of hooey
"Basic Operating RPM Range: 1,500-6,500 RPM"
Not for the cam you listed pal, no matter what kind of B.S. Edelbrock is puttin' out. It just doesn't work that way. Any cam you screw in the motor will have a window of operation of about 3,500 rpm's. So, your present cam will make power from about 3,000 to about 6,500 r's.
