I am currently wanting to do a 383 stroker for my S-10. Its a 2001 xtreme, and ever since I was a little kid I have always wanted a show truck with serious old muscle. well I got my change, I purchased this truck and now im ready to modify. I absolutally love the older style engines and decided to go carburated instead of new age (LS1) based motors. I want to do a supercharged 383, I already know that I have to have a forged bottom end and really beefy at that, already have a cage built, its been tubbed, new tranny, driveshaft ect... ect... anyways, I want to know if its feesable to make a mid 11 second s-10 (3850 with driver) with a blown 383 for a decent budget? I am going to start with a bare 4 bolt main block, forged steel 4340 crank, forged rods, forged pistons wiht a combo of a 72cc 2.02 /1.6 lift head set to end up somewhere roughly around 8:1, I think I want to do a 6 71 blower, not sure if that would be efficiant enough, and a blower cam somewhere in the range of a 5.20 lift, does this sound like a combo that will get me near mid 11's?
