Summit racing. call and get a catalog 1-800-230-3030.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Get a spin-on filter adapter. Much less mess, and easier to find filters.

Not wanting anything fancy but just a nice run around daily driver for me and family to crusie around end. Does that help you?Originally posted by gassersrule_196

Use a short cam, something like this...
http://www.cranecams.com/?show=brows...tType=camshaft
Or a Comp XE250H...
http://www.compcams.com/Technical/Cu...ML/128-169.asp
Or a 201256 Isky...
http://www.iskycams.com/onlinecatalog.html
Or an Elgin 262/268...
http://www.elgincams.com/
Or a Schneider 21000...
http://www.schneidercams.com/cams/21.htm
You get the general idea....don't let anyone talk you into more cam than I've suggested here, you won't like it based on what you said you wanted to do with the motor.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Re: from brian
I've gotten 2 master kits (350 early) and 2 rering kits (350 post 87, and 400) from Northern. Very happy with the prices, delivery, and quality. Always been name brand stuff. I like that they don't charge shipping, just $9 handling charge per order. I miss ordered 30 over pistons when I should have ordered std, and they quickly exchanged for me without a problem. They offer lots of options with the early 350 master kits.Originally posted by bassfisher

Re: Re: from brian
When is the last time you ordered from them? As I look at the shipping rates it looks as if they charge a handling fee per box and set shipping charge. Handling fee is flat fee if takes 3 boxes to ship there will 3 handling fees plus shipping, maybe i am wrong. I contacted them they the master kit I am talking about comes in 1 though. Did they get the parts to you quick?Originally posted by dcoffield

Hey erick, the reason on the 283 so far is needed a motor, this came along VERY CHEAP . So at this point cost had a major factor. Been looking for a donor car so far have not found one. Besides I can always use it for something else if I find another 1 say a 350?Trying to build the truck, have a family, 1 person works you know BLAH, BLAH, Blah, that only reason so far.Originally posted by erik erikson
