man why would you consider ruining a ferrari by running a small block, all you need is a decent chevy, elcaminos have full frames, thast what im running, even if its not a full frame add sub frame connectors. Up here in vancouver canada, theres a guy i see racing all the time in a 63 nova, back halfed, no connectors, very healthy sprayed SBC running consistant 8.8's in the quarter, barely a twist when he launches off the line. I would seriously reconsider you choice of vehicle. The 305 in race form is a decent motor, small on cubes, i'ld consider running it in a light car like a nova, vega, etc. My combo is a pretty serious build for the 305, but in my 81 elky realistic numbers i'll run are low 13's in the quarter. I may be adding a 100 shot of spray but thats pretty much all the bottom will take. IMO would consider running a light car, i have seen a mild 305 in a vega run 13.9 in the quarter, not bad considering it had a very mild cam. Its a weight issue too, no need to go out and buy an exotic car, you'll find you will have way more stuff that has to be done to the suspension and chassis in a ferrari to get a chevy drive train in it. In my opinion not worth it. Keep it simple and consistant, it will last way longer and be more fun to drive.Quote:

oh okay well thank ill just keep it chevy then. i was just told that about ferrari's and i was gunna use a wrecked one or one with a bad motor. but ill look for a nova or vega. i think there is a nova by my house its pretty rusty but its deff. fixable. if i could find a monza that would be cool too i was told you can put 350s in those im not for sure on this but it would be cool to do. theres not much of a selection of elkys around here. but there is old camaros
