    repairing a cracked head?

    Hello master-technicians,
I need help. I've found out that one of my heads (casting 041) has a small crack. The crack is in #4 cylinder chamber, where the red line is on the pic I've attached. The crack lets water through and the cylinder had 30cc of coolant in it. Now here is my question:
Is this crack repairable? Can I weld it shut and will that stay welded shut? Has anyone else repaired a Head cracked like this one before?
The rest of the head is OK, it's flat, valve guides are good, valves and springs newish... Don't want to get new heads, they're difficult to get and expensive here in Germany....
