Assuming that the piston is 0.030" in the hole and 5 cc's of valve reliefs in the piston, compression ratio will be 10.1:1 and that might be a little iffy with a "RV" type cam if it has a short intake closing point. Matter of fact, I suspect it's been rattling from excessive cylinder pressure all along.
