Actually Rrumbler, thats a hard question you pose there. Off the books, Oldsmobile used the chevy motors during the late 70s when they couldnt keep up production of the 307 due to the popularity of the cutlass. However, it turned out that the NYC taxi corporations did not enjoy having chevy motors when they paid for Rockets, and they got sued. On the books, Oldsmobile never used chevy V8s and produced their own line of motors till the bitter end in the rear wheel drive models.
