ok 4 peeps have looked at this thread, can someone tell me how to get it down real quick so i can go put my motor back together.
A pulled stud usually won't stay down once its pulled. The best cure is a set of screw-in studs, but they require machining. Sometimes you can press 'em back in, but its a coin toss if it stays there.
would pounding it back in hurt it? Will it even be a problem being slightly taller than the rest?
well its still in there pretty hard. just noticed it was up a little bit. Curious if it wont stay in how do i replace it or get it to stay in.
well looks like i gotta get a screw in stud. What type of machining needs to be done? I guess if that doesnt work then ill have to find some heads :(
The machining requires the heads be removed and taken to a competent machine shop. They will remove all the studs, mill the bosses, then drill and tap them for screw in studs.
