I have a mild 350 with an eldelbrok 7102 intake & matching cam,a stock fuel pump & a holley 4160 600cfm carb w/ factory HEI. On wot at about 3000 rpm I lossing power, almost like the truck is being held back as I start ezing out of the tolltle the engine startes picking up and takes off. A friend told me that the carb was to small, that i needed a 670cfm. He said it was starving and by ezing up on the tottle it aloud the fuel to catchup. I asked him if it could be the cheap fuel pump and he said no, a macanical feul pump will do just as good a nice holley or what ever. My friend is a mechanic and us to race mud buggys, so I think he knows what he is talking about. But a nother friend said the 600cfm was proberly to big? Any sugestion other then keeping my foot out of it. Thanks Steve Roy
