Re: timing marks
thats the way it should be.Originally posted by firebird45331
a'ight question, I have my new camshaft and timing chain set installed, before I button everything up and move on just wanted to be sure of one thing. On the camshaft instructions it shows to have the two dots matched up. the crank at 12 O'clock and the cam at 6 o'clock. When I started taking everything apart I made sure I was at 1 TDC. When I took the timing cover off both dots were at 12 o'clock. This corresponds to my manuals. I know if the two dots line up at 6 and 12 o'clock then the #6 piston is at tdc. Am I ok or do I need to reset it?Mike
