Generally speaking, head studs make it tough to get the heads off if you have a power brake booster or a a/c box in the car. On a drag car, there is planned clearance to get the heads off. On a street car, there isnt.

Small block chev bolts.....invest in some ARP head bolts and they will last longer than you. They are not streched so they last many times.

Late model LS1 stuff uses torque to yield bolts....the bolts are torqued to just past the point where they stretch. They are not reuseable. Usually, if you see a torque value that says "torque to xx ft lbs and then yy degrees", this is a torque to yield.
