Help w/cam selection

Getting ready to put together a 355 sbc and would like opinions on what cam to run. I will be using Edelbrock 64cc aluminum heads, Edelbrock RPM dual plane manifold, Speed Pro Hyper 9.73 pistons, Holley 750 double pumper, 1 5/8 headers, 2.5" exhaust. This will be in a 78 Malibu with a 4.11 posi and drag suspension. The car will be a weekend only driver to local car shows with a maybe once a month trip to an 1/8 mile strip for fun.
So far my cam choices are:
Edelbrock 7102 hyd cam - 234/244 dur 488/510 lift 112 lobe sep.
Comp Cams Magnum 280H - 230/230 dur 480/480 lift 110 ls
Lunati 310H Bracket Master II - all I found was 500/510 lift

Open to solid cam suggestions also...
Any other opinions are greatly appreciated.

The comp is a good cam. The edelbrock is ok, but they seem to be having some hydralic lifter problems. I know of two persons who bought that cam and lifters, both had some lifters that would not pump up, and had to replace them.
Lunati has a really large selection of cams for the small block chevy. GO to their web site and look up the available cams.
I liked my isky cam I had in my 355 69 elcamino. That motor screamed and sounded great too. This was along time ago but I used their 292 adv. duration 510 I think the lift was and it had a 108 degree lobe seperation. That motor would turn over 7000 rpms pulling strong the hole time with no problem. It was a hydralic grind.

Do you absolutely know that the static c.r. is 9.73. Have you figured volumes in the chambers, head gasket, deck, cylinder and eyebrows? I'm not baggin' on you, but you MUST know the EXACT c.r. in order to spec the cam in correctly.

What is your stall rpm,3200 or 3500 would be a good choice,maybe a hydraulic roller with around 296 dur. and 530 lift, or solid flat tap, rollers are more money but it is worth it ,faster lobe ramps-valve stays open longer,less friction(more hp),faster revs,ether way-use good rocker locks!! I have built at least 20 small chevys with hydraulic flat tapped cams(comp extreame energy my favorit) and thought they where great, but my first roller motor made me see and feel what i had been missing!!Give the cam companies a call and they can help you get the most out of your motor!
