383 Help
New here guys and it seems to be a good resource fourm. Now on to the task at hand, I have a 68 camaro used at the strip only for the time being and I plan on building a pump gas 93oc 383. I would like some imput from you guys from carb to pan, the sky ($$) is not the limit for this 383 so keep this in mind. I was running a very mild 396 (12.5) and have very few SBC parts but I will list what I do have if it should be used. I have a set of Bowtie (14011034) heads , Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake , 850 Annular mighty Demon , MSD Distributor with a 6AL , thats about all I can rob from a 355 12:1 I have besides a crane 555'' Intake / .555'' cam. The car is set up with a 5000 stall on a 350 TH with a 12 Bolt 4.88 rear and has plenty of rubber on the rear (32x14x15). I would like to know some block castings, should I use a roller cam, Mechanical cam, what compression pistons, crank and so on.
thanks guyshttp://kazumapowersports.com
I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
