rebuilding a 400 chevy small block for street performance
I need help i'm rebuilding my first engine. I dont know what parts i can get the most performance out of, and im hoping you all can help me. In the end i would like to hit at least 500 hp. So if you all can tell me the best choice for valves, headers, heads, intake, etc. i would really appreciate it. I want to build it right not just slap it together. The block is a 1977 and in good shape. Hopefully someone can reply Thanks.
".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
