I am at the point of trying to find the "right" intake setup for my SBC 350. I'm tired of the ho-hum single carb setups, and I have heard horror stories about the performance of tri-power. I want something at least somewhat different. Yet can perform on the street and occasionally at the strip.

I was thinking of adding an Edelbrock Low-rise Dual-Quad manifold and a couple of 500cfm edelbrock performers.

I'm wondering if anybody has had experience with this setup and what they thought of it. What type of changes need to be made (ie. jets, etc). I'm mainly concerned with it running too lean and destroying my pistons.

I plan on driving this car during the warmer months and sometimes long distances. It will be hitting a lot of shows and cruise-ins. It needs to be fairly dependable, not a complete gas guzzler.

The parts and specs I'm using are the following:

Eagle crankshaft, internally balanced, stock stroke. Skat 5.7" I-beam floating pin connecting rods. SpeedPro Flat top pistons +0.030. Lunati Voodoo cam and hydraulic flat tappet lifters, 256deg advanced duration .454 lift (1000-5500rpm). Manley stock sized steet master valves, stock heads (probably going to port them)

Any advice from experience would be appreciated. Thanks.
