Yeah, no kidding, a lot of work. I've heard of fellows stuffing a 4" crank in a small block, but I've never seen one. It's on the ragged edge to clearance a motor for the 3.750" stroke in some cases. And I don't know why anybody would want to bolt a 4.000" crank in a 305 block anyway. Sorta' like a pig wearing pearls.
3.736 x 4.000 = 350.79 cid
3.766 x 4.000 = 356.45 cid
3.796 x 4.000 = 362.15 cid
