I am looking for some opinions on the following;

5k-20k mile .030 over block that I think was ran hot. #1 cylinder has a very small groove from about 1/8th of an inch from the deck and about 3.5 inches long. The groove is maybe .005 wide and .010 or less deep (just enough to see it and barely feel it with a finger nail, but to much to remove with a few passes of the cylinder hone. Everything else is so good that I would like to reuse it all (main and rod bearings, rings and gaskets would be replaced).

What are some possible (if any) consequences of not having it re bored and running it with the groove?

Another question or two if anyone wants to toss a comment or two at me, reusing the bearings on the above mentioned engine?
Just how bad would it be if they are put back in but not in the same place vs. putting them back in the same spot they were removed from?

Main bearing show some wear IE some of the shinny coating is missing (very small amount but worth mentioning). Rod bearings look like they just fell out of a new box. (.010 main and .010 rod clevite 77). Crank shows no signs of wear or damage. This is a mild engine not allot of hp, and not something I would have to depend on everyday, but all the same wouldn't mind getting 100k miles out of it and then have no problem tossing it.
Thanks,
Lost
