Umbrella seals and dual valve springs

Hi everyone. I have a 327 bored .040 over with less than 6000 miles on it. I plan to get new heads ( 2.02 / 1.6 ) With the old heads (now removed ) I had smoke out the back.
Here's the question: I have dual valve springs with umbrella seals, and noticed that the umbrellas themselves have "crawled" up the valve itself leaving the area where the valve and the guide meet. Is this due to the inner spring causing it to come up? I am thinking this is where oil may be allowed to run down the guide and cause the smoke. It seems the whole idea of the umbrella seals is not working with this combo. Basically all the umbrella seals are doing the same thing.
I plan to get the better heads any way, but want to be sure before I get a new set. Unless the piston rings aren't seated properly? I hope not. Could it be blow by? Thanks for any advice.

The umbrella seals cannot touch the inner surface of the spring. Usually with a dual spring on a stock diameter Chevy spring seat and retainer. The umbrella seal is incorrect in this application. You really need a positive seal that locates on the valve guide. The seals you have are not doing the job, as they are just riding up and down with the spring motion.
