If you're specifically asking about your 1984 Camaro, that's easy since GM only put two different V8 engines in it.....both 5.0L (305). You can go to http://www.camarosource.ca/php/camar....php?year=1984
to see the Camaro info.

IT'S A BIRD!
If it's stock, its gonna be a 305, if it's not someone mighta put a 350 in it. If someone had a penchant for older stuff they mighta put a 327 in it. If its custom it could be a 383. OR someone coulda dropped a 400 in it and/or made a common 377 or 406 or whatever bored/stroked combo they wanted. I really doubt its a 302 but it could be a 283 too. Big blocks really are hard to fit in that strut frame so I doubt its a BB. But my guess is on the 305...uhh unless its a V6, ick! Get those numbers and find out, GOOD LUCK!I'd rather go fast than worry about the gas mileage.
