yep, itll depend on your local laws. Actually, removing emissions devices is against the law in all states, due to federal law, however, only some states, and sometimes only some areas of some states inforce emission laws.
where I live, a 19854 1/2 ton pickup gets a visual inspection for emissions devices during the safety inspection(sometimes these devices are overlooked, helps to have a few buddys who are inspectors ) the vehicle also gets run on a treadmill & tests for exhaust emissions while on the tread mill. Oh yea, & the gas cap test LOL. We are currently trying to kick the company that runs the emissions tests out...its a huge scam. John
