tall deck build advice needed

Thanks for any help you have. I entered big block ville for the first time by buying a 427 tall deck four bolt bare block. Haven't even received it yet. I need advice on the build. My idea is for a 34 3 window. I want to do a blower motor, which will be my first. I have done a few small blocks, non blown, so I am not a total rookie, but new enough.

Stroker kit is what I am thinking, but would like some info on piston type/size. Rod length. Stroke lenth (how much will a 427T clear without a bunch of grinding?). Crank type. head type, I have none so these, so all will be new purchases. I did a search on big block blower motors and tech inspector answered a similar question about a short deck and honestly, I got lost in the translation. I basically need to know what rotating assembly I should use and what heads to put on it.

BTW, this is purely a braggin rights car, no racing. Just cruisin. the engine will go to 30 over.

buzz, i know this is not what you wont to hear and ive had a lot of them over the yrs. but if i was going to build one more blower motor today for the street , it would be a good "stock 454", 671 GMC blower, 7.5 comp., and about 8 lbs. of boost. it would have EFI and i would drive it on pump gas. it wouldnt stand a lot of top end running but it would be a bad ass from stoplight to stoplight and i havent broke the bank eather. youer going to have more power than you know what to with anyway. that blower is going to fill the cylenders up with air & fuel wheather you wont it to or not. i sure wish id had someone to talk to about blowers befor i built my first one. im sure it would have saved me a lot of money ive got more pistons with holes in them than i care to think about, so talk to a lot of people, but dont try to do everything everybody tells you to. what you need to do is keep the comp. & boost down, keep the timing late and keep the fuel flowing. id go for pretty this time.

Thanks for the words. I think that may be what I do, but probably not EFI. low boost. compression in the 7.5 range. The piston choice is my main concern...I guess I need to just get together with speed o motive or someone like that and have them suggest a rotating assembly. But thanks for taking the time to answer with some advice. I guess Streets thinks I am lazy and did not already do a search and read everything in the list he so helpfully forwarded.

really all im saying is unless your going to turn it over 5000 rpms you dont need all of the high doller crank, rods & pistons. the first blower motor i built i had the best of everthing you could buy and i ran it lean and blew it up bad, the last blower motor i had didnt have any high doller stuff in it but it had all the power i needed.
people will tell you you need all of heavy duty stuff in a blower motor but if your not going to run it hard you dont need it. the reason i would use efi is because its so easy to run it lean with a carb. and the elec. takes some of the guess work out of it, but there again if your not going to run it hard that wont be a problem.

Low compresion is very conventional wisdom however after many motors . 9 to one 5 lbs boost is the way your EGTs drop so badly in a low compresion motor cant keep plugs clean idle poorly . just 2 cents
