No Spark BBC
A while back i had my 502 BBC idling in the driveway, i accidentally hit the starter button instead of the ignition switch. It killed the motor and broke the starter. Replaced the starter, but it has not fired up since. I have fuel and the motor turns over. I replaced the ignition coil, but still nothing. Do i go straight to replacing the distributor? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

My thoughts are the 2 are not related. While changing the starter could you have left off a wire. Don't know cause I'm not there with ignition on do you have power to coil?

JMHO, stop replacing and start testing.
Often a part is changed that's not needed, that's where testing comes in.
Get a volt meter and test for voltage at your coil (a cheap volt meter will work). My hunch is you have blown a fuse or fuse link wire to your ignition or coil.
Use a volt meter and work backwards from the coil towards the ignition switch, from there to the fuse box/power connection (exc.).
TEST, TEST, TEST. Replace LESS, LESS, LESS. your wallet will like it too.

A very simple test to do. remove the distributor cap and have a helper crank the motor over.
Verify the distributor does spin with the motor. Cost? = FREE

Thanks for the responses. Coil is good. Next, (if work ever slows down) I will be checking the distributor.
