    Seeking info on valve covers

     



    Hey all. So I have a set of valve covers off a big block chevy and before I blast them and clean them I was trying to find a little info on the covers and a value. Can't find any info relating to these specific ones so I'm checking to see if anyone else might know. Numbers inside the cover are 14OR-48B. Only thing I see pop up are M/T and its not that and doesn't have the center breather. Thanks for any help.

    Looks to me like someone milled the M/T logo off and installed the breathers. I did that for a guy I know last year. Could be wrong, though.

    If by "blast" you mean something like bead blasting you might regret it depending on what finished look you're after. Bead blasting will make them look effectively like a rough cast piece, albeit the roughness will have a finer grain to it. Bead blasting between the fins (mask the rest) is effective though.
