    Thanks for the info. I was wondering about the metering rods. In the past, I used the same carb adjustment instructions as Jerry wrote about to get the idle down to 1000. I bet if I set the initial timing at 15, I could get it to run leaner. With the 3.73 gears and automatic trans its probably hardly on the main circuit while cruising. To bad this distributor isn't like a GM where everything is on top and easy to get at. This is off topic but I wonder if Mallory is going to keep making distributors. I was on their site and noticed that all off their distributors are listed as out of stock.

    The scuttle I heard was MSD bought Mallory and is phasing the Mallory line out.
