trying again
I have a 72 GMC stepside 3/4 ton with a 402 that has low compression in # 8 and 5 at 25 lbs. rest are 125 +-. I am going to flip this truck after a really custom paint job and a good modest custom interior. don't really want to get into the mechanical, can sell it looking great with room for a mechanic to finish. done that many times before with good success. so my questinn is I have access to a 94 motor home on a 350 chevy chassis with a 454 7.4 L OHV 16V with 44,000 miles on it. would it be rather easy to take that 454 out with tranny and replace the 402? what about computer? don't know if this is even a good idea but I did read several posts on your site that the 402 should be replaced with a 454. since the 402 is in a truck, I assume the heads are not great. don't know yet
any one have an opinion on this?
